Host venue
Gallery Article 15
We are thrilled to host our event at Gallery Article 15, the first and only art gallery in the United States dedicated to contemporary art from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Founded in 2022 by Elizabeth Jaffee, a former U.S. Foreign Service Officer, the gallery is located in Washington, DC’s historic Georgetown neighborhood.

Gallery Article 15 showcases a dynamic collection of works from emerging, mid-career, and internationally recognized Congolese artists. Beyond exhibitions, the gallery actively promotes Congolese art and culture through special events, programs, and its support of a young artist collectif in the DRC. Elizabeth’s passion for Congolese art began in 2008 while serving at the U.S. Embassy in Kinshasa, culminating in the landmark We Are Congo exhibition in 2021, which inspired the creation of Gallery Article 15.

As a collaborative space working directly with artists, Gallery Article 15 offers an immersive experience that celebrates the rich and evolving landscape of Congolese contemporary art. We are honored to partner with this visionary venue for our event.
